Manage Overwhelm in Times of “Crazy Busy”

Accolades + Media

“Rooted in science, research, and common sense, Ease is a powerful and thoughtful book to help us all manage our frenetic lives. Best of all, it reads like you’re in the room, one-on-one, with coaching pro Eileen Chadnick. And I can tell you from personal experience, that’s a wonderful place to be.”

– Terry Fallis, award-winning author of The Best Laid Plans, and co-founder of Thornley Fallis Communications

“Eileen has done us busy people an enormous service with Ease. It is quite one thing to know what the neuroscience and positive psychology research says about dealing with times of “crazy busy” but quite another to apply the strategies to our own lives.  Eileen bridges both and lays out a smorgasbord of solid ideas that are easy to grasp and to customize to one’s own needs.  This deceptively simple yet profoundly informed book will make a difference for me and for others who read it. The positive frame and good writing make me feel better already just from reading it.”

–  Linda J. Page, PhD, President of Adler International and Co-Author of Coaching With the Brain in Mind.

“Work and life can get exceptionally busy and even the most successful people can experience feelings of overwhelm.  In Ease, Eileen Chadnick lays out a repertoire of emotionally intelligent  strategies and habits to help people more effectively deal with the demands of the day. I started with prioritizing and triaging – good reminders of techniques to organize the loads.  Ease also digs into ways to be more mindful and authentically positive – two areas that have been proven to boost our EQ and ultimately our potential for success and well-being. “

– Steven J. Stein, PH.D, Co-author of The EQ Edge: Emotional Intelligence and Your Success.

“Struggle is strictly overrated! Sure, you’re busy, but are you being EFFECTIVE? Ease is a practical, grounded book and a treasure chest of do-able exercises that will help you focus, maximize and do what you can do.”

– Kim George, Author, Coaching Into Greatness: 4 Steps to Success in Business and Life, Founder, The Abundance Intelligence Institute® www.AbundanceIntelligence.com

“The science tells us that if we can manage our stress, our sleep and our mood we can boost our capacity to have more impact; work with a greater sense of ease; and do more Great Work. Easy to say, much harder to do. Eileen Chadnick lays out 17 practical tools so you can move from insight to action … and start to experience a real difference.”
-Michael Bungay Stanier, Senior Partner of Box of Crayons and author of Do More Great Work

Ease is easy to read and paradoxically offers a simplicity that speaks to the complexity of our at times overwhelming lives. In so doing, it is overwhelmingly validating and motivating, propelling the reader to confidently believe that all mountains can be climbed. Eileen’s writing is honest, and there is humour throughout the book which reminds us that it is ok to poke fun at ourselves now and again, and then learn how to manage our self-limiting perspective. This book doesn’t just teach you how balance all the balls in the air. It helps you forgive yourself for dropping a ball here and there by telling your “inner critic” to take a hike!

Congrats on an excellent, informative, educational and supportive manual for coping with “overwhelm”. A very worthy investment of my time!

Here are a few more comments from various reviews (e.g. Amazon and Goodreads):

“I loved EASE! Eileen has written this book for all of us who are overwhelmed with today’s fast pace – and who isn’t? With very practical strategies that are easily applied and integrated into everyday life, I’ve already built a few of them into my toolkit. When I’m stuck with a brain freeze of overwhelm, that quick little question “what CAN I do now?” gives me a positive jump start and gets my brain moving again! Eileen’s shares her insight as a coach, with stories of clients concerns that resonate and solutions that make sense. While EASE is a quick and easy read, Eileen refers to recent neuroscience research, positive psychology and includes a generous use of references to other great reads and fascinating research. This is rapidly becoming one of my reference “go to” books for self help!” (Cate/Goodreads)
